Inuwa Yahaya, APC Governors Pay Sallah Visit to Former President Buhari in Kaduna

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, on Monday, joined his counterparts in the All Progressives Congress (APC) on a courtesy visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna.

The high-profile visit, organized under the auspices of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), was led by the Forum’s Chairman and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma.

Speaking to journalists after the visit, Governor Uzodinma explained that the delegation was in Kaduna to extend Sallah greetings to the former President and congratulate him on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

He also noted that the visit provided an opportunity to felicitate with Buhari on settling into his newly renovated residence, describing the moment as "symbolic and deeply rooted in respect, loyalty, and continued appreciation for his statesmanship, leadership, and legacy."

“As a party, we remain united and committed to the ideals of good governance which President Buhari championed during his time in office,” Uzodinma stated.

Other APC governors present during the visit included those of Kaduna, Kwara, Nasarawa, Ebonyi, Kebbi, Edo, Kogi, Ondo, Ekiti, and Benue States. Also in attendance were the Deputy Governor of Jigawa State and the Minister of Budget and National Planning, among other dignitaries.

The visit underscores the APC leadership’s ongoing connection with the former President, reflecting the party’s continued reverence for Buhari’s influence and legacy within the Nigerian political space.
