The Director-General of the Bauchi State Infrastructure Development and Maintenance Agency (BASIDMA), Engr. Abdulrahman Abdullahi Mai’auduga, has launched the “0 Faults Hold” initiative aimed at revamping roads across Bauchi State.
The initiative is designed to ensure that all roads in the state are free of faults and potholes, providing safer and more comfortable driving experiences for residents.
The project kicked off with the repair of Yaya Abubakar (Yaya-Peto) Road in the Fadamara Mada area of Bauchi metropolis.
Engr. Mai’auduga noted that the agency is committed to addressing all affected roads, both within the metropolitan area and in other parts of the state, many of which have been neglected for over 20 years.
The agency has resumed full operations after the successful repair of its equipment and completion of necessary consultations.
The launch of this initiative follows directives from the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Sen. Dr. Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad Kauran Daular Usmaniya, who remains dedicated to upgrading the state's infrastructure.
The governor’s commitment has received praise from residents, including Usman Auwal Saraki, an ice block seller living near one of the newly renovated roads. He expressed his gratitude to the governor for initiating such a major and much-needed road renovation.
The “0 Faults Hold” initiative marks a significant step toward improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for the people of Bauchi State.
