AWARD: Bauchi Humanitarian Commissioner Felicitates with Gov Bala

The Bauchi State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Hajiya Hajara Yakubu Wanka, has congratulated Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed on his recent honor by Leadership Newspaper as the Best Governor of the Year 2024, in recognition of his remarkable strides in infrastructural development across Bauchi State.
This was disclosed in a press statement issued by the Ministry’s Information Officer, Adama Ibrahim, on Thursday and made available to journalists in Bauchi.
According to the statement, Commissioner Wanka stated that Governor Mohammed’s selection for the award came as no surprise, given his commitment to transformative policies and infrastructure that serve as a catalyst for sustainable development and economic growth in the state.
She described the award as a testament to the Governor’s dedication and resilience in building a prosperous Bauchi, and pledged the Ministry’s continued support in actualizing his development agenda under the "My Bauchi Project" initiative.
“Your Excellency, this award is a reflection of your resilience, doggedness, and unwavering belief in creating an enabling environment for human capital development and economic progress in our dear state,” she stated.
“I make bold to say that more such recognitions will come your way before the end of your administration, owing to your people-oriented policies and inclusive leadership style,” Commissioner Wanka added.
She reaffirmed that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management remains committed to Governor Mohammed’s policy of social inclusion, offering support to the vulnerable, and minimizing the impact of disasters across Bauchi State.
