Bauchi, March 24, 2025 – The newly appointed Chairman of the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (BSCSC), Dr. Ibrahim Alhaji Muhammad, MNI, officially assumed office today in a brief ceremony held at the Commission’s headquarters in Bauchi.

In his inaugural address, Dr. Ibrahim expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah and Governor Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for entrusting him with the leadership of the Commission. He acknowledged the weight of the responsibility and assured stakeholders of his commitment to ensuring an efficient and effective civil service system.

“Leadership is about working together for progress and success. I call on all and sundry to support the Commission’s vision for the development of Bauchi State,” he stated. He further emphasized that achieving the Commission’s objectives would require teamwork, dedication, and collective responsibility.

The assumption of office ceremony was attended by top officials of the Commission, including Permanent Commissioner 1, Alhaji Abdullahi Babayo, Danmadamin Jalam, who, on behalf of the staff, welcomed and congratulated the new Chairman. He pledged the full cooperation and loyalty of the Commission’s leadership and workforce.

A key moment in the event was the official handing over of leadership responsibilities to Dr. Ibrahim, accompanied by the presentation of the Commission’s handing-over notes for his review before final signing after his formal inauguration.

Dr. Ibrahim assured that his tenure would focus on strengthening civil service operations, promoting transparency, and ensuring the smooth running of the Commission. His appointment comes at a time when the Bauchi State Government has been making efforts to reform and modernize the public service sector.
