By, Abdulwahab Muhammad Bauchi

The First Lady of Bauchi State, Hajiya Aishatu Bala Muhammad, has been recognized as a Great Ambassador of Hope is Alive Foundation for Africa for her remarkable contributions to philanthropy and humanitarian work.

The honor was conferred by Her Majesty, Mrs. Temitope Adesegun, wife of the Ooni of Ife, during a special event in Bauchi as part of the foundation’s ninth annual Valentine's Day outreach, which focuses on celebrating and supporting children, especially those born in February.

A Tribute to Compassion and Leadership

While receiving the award, Hajiya Aishatu Bala Muhammad expressed her appreciation for the recognition and thanked the Hope is Alive Foundation for Africa for selecting Bauchi as one of the host states for this year’s outreach program.

Presenting the award on behalf of the Ooni of Ife, Mrs. Adesegun acknowledged the First Lady’s unwavering commitment to social welfare, stating, “Her efforts in transforming lives and creating opportunities for the vulnerable have set an admirable standard.”

She also commended Governor Bala Mohammed, describing him as a leader whose policies prioritize the well-being of the people.

“Bauchi State stands out because of its leadership’s dedication to the less privileged,” she said. “The First Lady’s impactful work speaks for itself, and this recognition is well deserved.”

Bauchi Among Selected States for Outreach

Mrs. Adesegun further revealed that Bauchi, Lagos, and Osun were the three states chosen for this year’s simultaneous outreach, emphasizing that the foundation carefully reviewed each recipient’s impact before making its selection.

The event, attended by government officials, dignitaries, and community leaders, highlighted the shared commitment of the Almuhibbah Foundation—led by the First Lady—and the Hope is Alive Foundation in championing child welfare and supporting vulnerable communities.

This award reinforces Hajiya Aishatu Bala Muhammad’s influence as a force for positive change, further solidifying her reputation as a dedicated humanitarian and advocate for the underprivileged.
