The management and entire university community of Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU) extend their profound gratitude to His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON (Kauran Daular Usmaniyya), Executive Governor of Bauchi State, for the significant increase in monthly allocation/subvention recently approved for the university.

This remarkable intervention by His Excellency underscores his administration’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the standard and quality of education in Bauchi State.

The Vice Chancellor of SAZU, Professor Fatimah Tahir, along with the university management, is optimistic that this financial boost will significantly address many of the institution’s challenges, particularly in teaching and learning. She commended the governor for recognizing and responding to the funding constraints that previously hindered the university’s ability to compete with its counterparts across the country.

In a Letter of Appreciation signed by the University’s Registrar, A.G. Hassan, PhD, and dated 11th February, 2025, the university assured that the grants would be judiciously utilized to enhance quality teaching and efficient research, in line with the governor’s vision of advancing education and development in the state.

Furthermore, Professor Fatimah Tahir applauded Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for the construction of five major access roads within Gadau, the university’s main campus. This infrastructure development will significantly improve accessibility, enhance convenience, and create a more conducive learning environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Your Excellency, these and many other efforts serve as a testament to your dedication, visionary leadership, and commitment to transforming Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU) into a world-class institution that fosters academic excellence and innovation.
